 Summary of the role:

Responsible for leading the Inbound & Outbound Sustainable Harvest Traceable Logistics Teams to provide best-in-class, customer and supplier-centric logistics service.

Responsibilities:

It is included but not limited to:

  • Primary source of information for the trade team/customers for outbound & inbound team. Keep management & trading informed of news to make timely decisions about the execution.
  • Inbound/Outbound monthly reporting.
  • Origin position coordination, on-time PSS monitoring (with origin coordinators and QC), execution, escalation of issues, data accuracy/control
  • Work closely with the Sucafina global logistics & trade teams to anticipate execution challenges and advise on potential solutions.
  • Plan, Recruit, and train the inbound and outbound logistics team. Provide the team with the necessary coaching and motivation to provide the best-in-class, customer-centric logistics service.
  • Supervise and analyze the performance of team members on their daily jobs. Have one-on-ones.
  • Manage team workload analysis, team leaves, and backup plans.
  • Help manage logistics relationships in coordination with Sucafina freights: negotiate onboarding with NA partners (fwds, truckers, shipping agents) (rates renewals, services, etc.)
  • Create procedures to optimize and streamline Logistics activities with IT and the SH Portal.
  • In coordination with Sucafina’s IMPACT team, onboard interested suppliers to IMPACT verification.
  • In tandem with relationship managers, onboard customers and suppliers onto the SH portal.
  • Double-check and approve RITS documents (Release/ Bank letters/Payment Statements...) at the second level and on-time Supplier payments.
  • Double-check/approve service invoices/payment statements from logistics providers.
  • Insurance & business partner claims follow-up & monthly declarations
  • Monitor actual vs. estimated costs with management (such as, but not limited to, freight-to-use costings, system accrual costings, dray estimates, etc.).
  • Other projects as required by managers.

Qualifications:

  • University graduate (Major in Foreign Trade or Logistics is a plus).
  • +5 years of experience in logistics roles
  • Experience in coffee business, soft-agri and an international environment/ global collaboration is a plus.
  • Experience in Customer Service is a plus.
  • Work visa in Colombia

  • Expertise in Microsoft Office suites (excel, SharePoint).
  • Knowledge of Incoterms
  • Knowledge of GCA is a plus
  • Knowledge of PowerBi is a plus
