About the producer

Aldea Global is a farmer association founded in 1992 to provide smallholder producers in the region with access to specialty markets and credit. The organization currently exports fair trade coffee and tropical fruits from more than 2,600 smallholder producers organized into 12 cooperatives and 30 committees. The organization emphasizes integral economic development by strengthening women's leadership, promoting and running a micro-loan program, protecting the environment, and ensuring income and crop diversification.
