In 2007, 2008, and again in 2009, Sustainable Harvest was ranked in Inc. Magazine’s list of the 5,000 fastest growing companies in America. Sustainable Harvest was the top-ranked coffee company in Oregon and placed among the fastest growing coffee firms nationally.

2008 Outstanding Contribution Award from the Specialty Coffee Association of America

Sustainable Harvest Founder and President David Griswold received the SCAA’s Outstanding Contribution Award in 2008 for his two decades of leadership in the coffee industry. The award celebrated Griswold’s vision in pioneering the Relationship Coffee business model, which has revolutionized the coffee supply chain by increasing transparency and traceability, providing new opportunities for farmers to receive credit and training, and ensuring overall sustainability. Griswold is a former President of the SCAA.

2007 State of Oregon Sustainability Award, Exemplar Award for Small Business

Sustainable Harvest won the 2007 Exemplar Award for Small Business at the State of Oregon Sustainability Awards banquet. Governor Ted Kulongoski commended

Sustainable Harvest for its efforts to create equality and sustainability both within the company and in the lives of coffee farmers across the globe.

2006 SCAA Sustainability Award

Sustainable Harvest was recognized with the 2006 Sustainability Award from the Specialty Coffee Association of America for its work as a socially responsible business in the coffee industry. Further, the award celebrated Sustainable Harvest’s role as a green coffee importing business that has brought significant economic, social, and environmental improvements for the producer communities it serves.
